In this one day class we will be making this useful and fun backpack. It’s fab for any outing where you might need to be hands free – think festivals, change bag and day trips!
BACKPACK CLASSES – CHORLEY
The bag has a foldover top and closure to keep things secure while the front zippered pocket keeps essentials within easy reach. The straps are also fully adjustable so it’s nice and comfy to wear too.
This is an intermediate class and we recommend you have a few projects under your belt before coming along, as always if you are unsure just get in touch.
I would suggest you have a few projects under your belt before making the backpack, it is listed on the pattern as an intermediate skill level and requires some accurate seam allowances etc.
The pattern uses heavier weight fabrics for the exterior and quilting cottons for the straps and lining etc – as long as your fabrics are similar weight then you are fine – just be aware lighter fabrics will lead to a less sturdy backpack so you may need heavyweight interfacing instead – if in doubt just get in touch.
You will be talked through the pattern and bag making process every step of the way so please don’t worry at all.
